There is a blessing waiting for you in the Lord's House

"Day after day they met as a group in the Temple, and they had their meals together in their homes, eating with glad and humble hearts" Acts 2:46

People may feel shocked when they are told that the Light of the World church is opened everyday (7 days a week, 365 days of the year). Why is it opened everyday? Why do people actually go everyday?

I remember in one occasion on a Tuesday evening, a young man came to the doorstep of our church. He looked devastated, and he began to tell me that he was looking all over the city to find a church that was opened. He was a Honduran living in Spain. He had no family members and no friends that lived with him. He was alone in an foreign country experiencing one of the hardest tests in the life of a human.

He told me that he had gone to different churches in that day, but they were only opened on Saturday's, some only on Sunday's. He felt relieved once he found that the church was opened everyday.

Now some can argue, couldn't he have prayed on his own without having to look for a temple that was opened? and of course our God is at the reach of everybody, but we can all agree that there is something special when we go to the house of the Lord.

King David always experienced something very special and he said "One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple"

He clearly received a great blessing once he was in the house of the Lord. He loved it so much and couldn't wait for the moment he would be inside of the house of God. The Lord Jesus Christ also said "My Father's house is a house of prayer"
